Holdfast × School of Cool

Full Throttle, Illegal As Hell.

Vintage biker clothing, patinated leathers and custom motorcycle parts — selected and made in Marseille for those who ride, not for those who parade.

Marseille, workshop, road.

Holdfast was born from an obsession with materials that age well and machines that last twenty years. Marseille, 2018. A handful of enthusiasts Harley-Davidson ShovelheadJapanese denim and Japanese biker style Fed up with disposable textiles and soulless replicas.

We started with a line of leather gloves—full-grain cowhide, hand-waxed patina, double stitching. Then came the boots, the 16oz prisoner's trousers, the workwear jackets, and the custom motorcycle parts sourced from Italian saddlers and Breton blacksmiths. Each piece travels by road before arriving at the workshop.

School of Cool SAS Today, it carries the Holdfast brand and officially distributes the Pike Brothers, KustomTech, and Motostuka limited edition collections in France. Not a catalog. A curated selection.

Holdfast vintage leather motorcycle jacket

Made to roll, made to last.

Four principles that dictate every selection in the workshop, every product sheet, every order.

Noble materials

Full-grain cowhide leather, 14-16oz selvedge denim, Japanese brushed cotton, Mexican wool. We verify the origin, we weigh to the gram.

Inherited Cups

Workwear patterns from the 30s-50s, recreated military models, Folsom Prison convict trousers. Not fashion, but memory.

Hand-finished

Wax patinas, saddle stitching, hot pressing for markings. Leather imperfections are evidence, not bugs.

Road spirit

Tested on choppers, bobbers, and cafe racers. If it doesn't hold up after 1,000 km on main roads, it won't be in the catalog.

Hand-patinated leather gloves — detail from the Holdfast workshop

Selection, testing, patination, packaging.

Each item arrives in Marseille before being offered for sale. The box is opened, weighed, folded, and sewn if necessary. The leather gloves undergo a wax patina treatment—one hour per pair, drying for two days. The denim is pre-washed and re-stitched at the weak points.

Custom motorcycle parts — brake lights, levers, grips, engraved covers — undergo a systematic assembly and disassembly test before shipping. No surprises at the garage.

  • Quality control upon receipt
  • Hand-applied wax patina
  • Motorcycle parts assembly test
  • Plastic-free packaging, 48-hour shipping

Seven years, zero compromises.
