Our 1923 Buccanoy Shirt: a must for formal occasions. The historic design of our 1923 Buccanoy shirts originated in the 20s. Men's fashion favored shirts with a straight collar from the mid-19th century. An additional collar, known as a "parasite" collar, could be buttoned onto this collar. This made cleaning and starching soiled collars easier. This type of shirt remained very popular until it was gradually replaced by turn-down collar shirts in the 40s.
Just like on the original, it is possible to button a collar on our Buccanoy shirts.
