The US Army Air Force B-10 Intermediate Flight Jacket was introduced in 1943 to replace the older A-2 and B-3 leather jackets. Praised by pilots for its sharp look and superior comfort, it was adopted by USAAF fighter aces and many other branches of the American armed forces. After the war, these jackets were used for all kinds of activities; they eventually became worn down to the threads, which explains their current rarity.
