The Pike Brothers 1948 Crafter Jacket HBT Brown is inspired by the work jackets of the late 1940s, worn by American craftsmen and laborers. Made in Turkey from 398 g/m² selvedge brown HBT (Herringbone Twill) fabric woven on a vintage shuttle loom, it combines historical authenticity with contemporary comfort. In the late 1940s, American craftsmen wore simple, sturdy, and functional work jackets. The 1948 Crafter Jacket by Pike Brothers retains this straight, comfortable cut with three exterior patch pockets and one interior pocket. Stonenut buttons, a visible selvedge edge, and reinforced seams: all the hallmarks of authentic workwear are present.
HBT Brown fabric: 100% selvage cotton 398 g/m²
The HBT (Herringbone Twill) fabric of this jacket is produced according to a traditional recipe on a conventional shuttle loom, giving it the characteristic selvedge edge and a unique herringbone texture. The 398 g/m² pure cotton weight ensures abrasion resistance, durability, and a patina that improves with each wash.
Straight cut and functional
The Crafter HBT Brown has a straight, slightly loose fit, designed for freedom of movement. Three large patch pockets on the outside hold tools, notebooks, or a smartphone. An inside pocket provides additional storage. The jacket is pre-washed and won't shrink after the first wash.
